What the project is about:

F WORDZ is an uplifting, feminist, dance & spoken word project raising underrepresented voices to elevate & empower girls and women of all ages.

Hello! I'm Sam Gilroy - I'm an independent female Dance Artist & Choreographer based in Southampton which has a rich, culturally diverse population of women and people who identify as female. Inspired to connect and create, I am reaching out to ask you to join me in conversation about your thoughts and experiences. These conversations will inform the work-in-progress dance and film work: F WORDZ, which will be toured to schools, colleges and universities in Autumn 2022.

What is F WORDZ:

F WORDZ uncovers personal experiences of all things feminism, failure, freedom, fierce and f***. Talking about these subjects with girls and women has helped to elevate, educate and empower us by discovering shared feats, fears, vulnerabilities and power. Sam G Creates will represent these stories as a live theatre performance, using dance and film, along with creative workshops that will tour to schools, colleges and universities, demystifying truths and removing shame so we can celebrate the bodies we have, the way we think, and who we are!
